RN – Neuro Scrub (Centurion)

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Neuro Scrub nursing to join a leading private hospital in Centurion. This is a full-time opportunity for a professional who thrives in a high-acuity surgical environment and is passionate about delivering safe, specialised care.

 

As a Neuro Scrub Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in supporting complex neurological and ENT procedures, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

 

– Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse  

– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in theatre nursing, with a focus on neurological procedures  

– Proven competence in cranial, inter-cranial, and spinal surgeries  

– Proficient in handling specialised neuro equipment, including microscopes, spinal beds, and CUSA  

– Experience in ENT surgery is essential  

– Sound knowledge of general and specialised nursing theory and modern clinical practices  

– Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team and act as a clinical resource  

– Strong documentation, planning, and emergency response skills  

 

– Deliver advanced, individualised nursing care in line with clinical protocols and best practice  

– Support and mentor junior staff and students in collaboration with clinical facilitators  

– Participate in policy development, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives  

– Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals  

– Contribute to continuous improvement in patient care and operational efficiency
