Role Overview
A high‑calibre EWP Consultant is required to deliver professional psychosocial counselling, specialist case management and managerial support within a fast‑paced, high‑performance wellness environment. This role demands a registered mental health professional who can operate confidently across complex cases, high‑risk scenarios and multi‑stakeholder engagements, while maintaining uncompromising clinical, ethical and operational standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Telephonic Counselling & Case Management — Provide short‑term, solution‑focused counselling, behavioural risk assessment and structured case management for referred individuals.
  • Managerial Consultation — Support managers and HR representatives with informal and formal referrals, guidance and behavioural risk insights.
  • Specialist Case Handling — Manage high‑risk and complex cases requiring advanced clinical judgement and protocol adherence.
  • Operational Line Monitoring — Ensure continuity of service through active monitoring of EWP lines, systems and after‑hours handovers.
  • Documentation & Reporting — Maintain accurate, comprehensive case records and review data for completeness and compliance.
  • Training & Development — Develop psychosocial training material, conduct orientation sessions and support provider network expansion.
  • Stakeholder Engagement — Engage clients, third‑party providers and partners across South Africa and other African regions.
  • Research & Contribution — Contribute to product development, protocols, documents and wellness‑related initiatives.
 
Professional Requirements
  • Registered Psychologist or Social Worker, (HPCSA/SACSSP).
  • Minimum 2 years’ operational EWP/EAP experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ short‑term, solution‑focused counselling experience.
  • Knowledge of wellness legislation, ethical codes and industry standards.
  • Advantageous: Experience with risk cases, managerial referrals and managerial consultation.
 
Language & Technical Requirements
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to work on‑site, shift hours, and remotely when required.
