PURPOSE OF ROLE:
 
The Export Manager leads international sales growth for the South African pharmaceutical company by developing export strategies, identifying global opportunities, ensuring compliance, and managing logistics. The role focuses on building relationships, negotiating contracts, and expanding the company’s market share and global presence
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
 
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in export management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven success in international market expansion.
 
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, import/export laws, and pharmaceutical standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical ability to interpret market data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and export management software/ERP systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Export Strategy Development:
  • Create and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and expand international market share.
 
Market Research:
  • Identify potential export markets, analyze regulatory requirements, and assess market trends and competition.
 
Partner Relations:
  • Build and maintain relationships with international distributors, wholesalers, and key stakeholders.
 
Contract Negotiation:
  • Negotiate and finalize sales contracts, pricing, and distribution agreements in compliance with legal standards.
 
Logistics & Compliance:
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, and regulatory teams to ensure timely delivery and regulatory adherence.
 
Market Intelligence:
  • Provide insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making for international expansion and product development.
 
Marketing Strategies:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement market-specific promotional campaigns.
 
Performance Monitoring:
  • Analyze sales data, identify growth opportunities, and address challenges in export markets.
 
Regulatory Awareness:
  • Stay updated on international trade regulations, import/export laws, and industry standards.
 
Representation:
