Sales Representative – Independent & Corporate
Industry: Pharmaceutical
Location: Gauteng and Cape Town
 
Purpose of the role:
To promote and sell the company’s products across independent pharmacies, pharmacy groups, and corporate chains. This role is essential in driving revenue by increasing market share and fostering brand loyalty. Success requires strong sales expertise, industry knowledge, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
 
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, or Pharmacy).
  • Previous sales experience within pharmaceutical industry preferred;
  • Valid driver’s license & own reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Key responsibilities:
 
Sales & Customer Engagement:
  • Develop and execute sales plans for independent and corporate pharmacies.
  • Meet/exceed sales targets and manage product orders.
  • Regular pharmacy visits to promote products.
Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with pharmacists and decision-makers.
  • Handle customer queries and ensure satisfaction.
Market Intelligence:
  • Monitor competitors and market trends.
  • Analyze changes in business practices.
Reporting & Administration:
  • Maintain records and prepare sales reports.
  • Ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
Education & Support:
  • Conduct training and provide product information for pharmacy staff.
Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate on sales strategies and promotions.
Working Conditions:
  • Regular business hours, occasional evening/weekend work.
  • Extensive travel required (valid driver’s license non-negotiable).
  • Use of laptops, tablets, and smartphones for work.
  • Professional attire when interacting with healthcare professionals.
  • Work settings include pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and offices
