A large MCO is seeking a dynamic leader to drive the strategic vision and operational excellence for one of their large Closed Schemes.
As General Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning their activities, growing membership, retaining clients, and fostering impactful relationships with stakeholders.
About the Role
In this leadership position, you will:
Champion Compliance & Risk: Ensure legal, statutory, and regulatory compliance while implementing effective governance and risk frameworks.
Lead with Impact: Drive divisional performance, nurture talent, and promote transformation across the unit.
Manage Financial Health: Oversee budgets, ensure operational profitability, and contribute to robust fund/scheme reserves.
Optimize Operations: Develop and execute business plans, refine processes, and manage core business functions, including finance, client liaison, membership, and sales.
Strengthen Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to meet and exceed expectations.
Implement Strategy: Stay ahead of industry trends to guide and implement strategies that deliver operational excellence and market growth.
What they are looking for:
Experience:
12+ years in the managed healthcare industry.
5+ years in senior management roles.
Qualifications:
A Business Management (Hons/ Masters) degree or Clinical qualification coupled with PG qualification in Business Management.
(Minimum NQF Level 8)
Skills:
Executive business writing and project management.
Negotiation, diplomacy, and problem-solving.
Advanced technology and task management capabilities.
