Qualification:
 
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related fields.
  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
Professional Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in clinical nutrition, product development, or research.
  • Background in food, beverage, or supplement industry is beneficial.
Skills:
  • Proficient in clinical nutrition, health conditions management.
  • Ability to analyze research and apply findings to product development.
  • Familiarity with labelling regulations and nutrition analysis software.
  • Strong communication skills to simplify complex nutrition information.
  • Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans 
Responsibilities:
 
Product Development:
  • Formulate new products targeting specific dietary needs.
  • Work closely with R&D to refine products for optimal health benefits.
  • Oversee ingredient selection, portion sizing, and nutritional accuracy.
Nutritional Expertise:
  • Apply clinical nutrition insights to product development.
  • Review scientific research to ensure formulations are evidence-based.
  • Develop nutrition-related claims and labelling in line with standards.
Clinical Support:
  • Provide insights on managing health conditions through nutrition.
  • Support materials creation to communicate product value to stakeholders.
  • Assist in clinical studies to verify product efficacy.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure products meet regulatory standards for food and supplements.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for compliance.
  • Validate nutrition claims with scientific evidence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and education teams for effective communication.
  • Serve as a nutrition expert at events, webinars, and professional forums.
 
Ongoing Learning:
  • Keep current with trends in nutrition and food science.
  • Train teams on nutritional standards and product health benefits.
